Their tactics are the worst way to run any Pride committee much less the one in San Francisco. Even with all their stupidity, I still find it necessary to thank the board, yes, thank them. Why? Because they have unleashed tons of stories about Bradley Manning, his case, his sexual identity issues and brought out a sizable force of critics – who ain’t going away any time soon! Oh, the Pride board is also being held accountable for corporatizing the parade and making only marriage and joining the military the ONLY political issues at Pride for a decade.

The queer chickens have come home to roost! Get used to it!

Not surprisingly, PFC Bradley Manning in his silent, still, radiant presence continues to awaken the spirit of freedom and justice around the world, touching even the dysfunctional SF Pride organization that has strayed from its roots and core values.

The Grand Marshall furor may catalyze a “Pride Spring” that entails discussion, debate and reforms to evolve further toward greater social justice and equality for all.

In the process, the legacy of humanitarian contributions of PFC Manning is strengthened.
