Being considered patriotic in the US carries heavy connotations of “my country, right or wrong” to me. I suppose referring to Bradley as patriotic is meant to be an acknowledgment of his passionate desire to do what he believes best to awaken the US public. I think that’s a good definition of patriotism, but my reaction to US patriotism is caused by my experiences.

Bradley may be a true patriot, whatever good thing that connotes. However, the heroism of his action(s) goes far beyond that.

Bradley has gotten himself into a position to challenge the empire, to allow the world to see that those with the real political power “have no clothes”. Brothers and sisters, to allow the world to see “what is behind the curtain”.

The importance of Bradley’s challenge is immeasurable. It may offer the one and only possibility of (if I may paraphrase a comment made by M Gandhi, regarding the British empire leaving India) communicating to the corrupt governance elites of the world to abandon the quest for world domination. If Bradley’s challenge fails, this quest for world domination will in all likelihood be much more painful and costly with ugly consequences (ask an Iraqi).

Amazing combination of integrity, intelligence, absolute moral clarity, and almost unfathomable bravery. Pfc. Manning’s done his part — a thousand times over.

It’s now our responsibility to do whatever it takes to set him free.

The easy way for me was to eventually self admit to smoking pot, which at the time was the quickest way to leave. And nothing controversial can be said to a chain of command, not only does it halt your possible career but it also changes the look of every superior and gets you labeled. I was an aviation electronics technician pertaining to f/a-18′s and had similar videos(don’t have details) that were hustled around the at office directly after bombing missions. There are too many things wrong with the military, glad that more are coming to light, they can’t hide the dirty work anymore with people like Bradley on the public’s side. I thank you for your service in a male-testosterone driven military, that alone shouldn’t be any person’s burden. And I don’t have kids yet but I’m sure I can prematurely thank you from them for helping shape their world. Stay strong and I’ll send my prayers.

I am currently fighting the U.S. government for altering evidence in a criminal prosecution to make me look guilty of a crime I never did.

I have become a political activist. Google: Nadine Hays Bradley Manning

We shall overcome this evil that is around us. Keep the faith!

Love,

I am all for Bradly Manning and supporting whistle blowers. You asked if it was OK to post a link to your site (& the petition) on my Facebook page. I said, sure. But now I find reams of posted pictures on my site. That was not what I had in mind. I’ve spent ten minutes now trying to unsubscribe from your posts. Have not been able to find any such way. Did a search for “unsubscribe”. It came up empty. Suggest that you do not offend your supporters. Will now have to block you from my email and Facebook page.

The government is meant to serve the public, but really deceives the public using resources from the public! Thank you Bradley, you are a true hero and inspiration. Good luck fighting the murderers, torturers and liars in the criminal gang we call the government.
