What branch are you in David. It sounds Canadian to say Armed Services, I would expect more “I’m a soldier” or “I’m a marine” or “I’m a sailor or the air force equivalent” from the US. It conveys more enthusiasm for the subsequent remark.
I also do not know if it is the image of Bradley Manning as a traitor or Bradley Manning as a queer, what with him being in uniform and all, that has insulted you more.
Brother, if you can convince me that what Bradley Manning has done is an act of treason, I will join you in supporting his prosecution and whatever punishment is imposed.
And what if I can convince you?
Bradley Manning’s sexuality is not germane to the charges, the court martial process or this discussion.

Let´s rest Jesus where ever he prefers to rest, usally he hangs around Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, I have been told – but try instead harder freeing Bradley from cruel white torture treatments he had and has to endure by offical US- institutions. Without making him a martyrized sacrifice, becoming crucified for Governmental sins or covered warcrimes.Shooting little children out of a helicopter like rabbits in a Videogame is against everything the U.S.- Constitution would cover.

Bradly Manning is supporting and defending the US-Constitution by his actions. He is a true soldier for freedom and US – principles. History will prove this, and the people who accuse him and are most responsible for his humiliating degrading treatment, will get in the future of U.S. – history books a chapter next to the methods of Richard Nixon.

Innocent people were killed by the American army. Children were injured. He helped expose that, and more, to the public and gave these people back the right to be remembered not as armed terrorists, but as peaceful civilians. If that makes him a traitor in your eyes, I hope the Armed Forces and all people like you burn.

But carry on, go about your little life ‘defending’ the US and its ‘interests’ (MONEY, POWER, AND MORE MONEY) and never question things, never think freely or for yourself, continue to support everything which you have grown up with and do not dare to think in a way which might be deemed as independent. Not a day goes by when I don’t think of Bradley Manning locked up in Leavenworth. What did he do? He is accused of exposing criminal activity at the highest levels of government. In essence he is a whistle blower, and a patriot! A nation that values itself as a democracy DOES NOT lock up people like Manning, they honor them!

Bradley Manning is at a minimum entitled to no cruel and unjust punishment as called for in the Bill of Rights and a fair trial if such is even possible under the code of military justice; it is duty to report a war crime. I was at Quantico Marine Gate when Daniel Ellsburg and Ann Wright were arrested. Next time, I may join them. I will be in D.C. before Memorial Day and circa 9/11, let me know if there is any thing that I can do. A Nam Era Medic-Ken Howland—Bush and Cheney should be the ones on trial.
