Anyone used to parsing texts accurately can ‘hear’ that whenever in the chat logs Brad is referring to his motivation and intentions regarding the leaks his ‘voice’ is unambiguous in it’s moral clarity.

He doesn’t ever falter in his belief that he has taken moral action.

He doesn’t even really falter in his belief that his action will be effective, considering momentarily whether he’s just ‘naive’, but coming out against this by saying ‘well, it should be better’ and ‘if it’s out in the open, it should be a public good.’
