Heat exhaustion can occur as the result of over-exposure to any heat source. Sunstroke occurs when the specific heat source is the sun, and especially when the sun’s heat is accompanied by high humidity.

According to the U.S. Park Service, it is possible to get sunstroke in 93F temperatures in the sunlight after a few hours.

If you work or play in the sun, keep the sun’s rays off of your skin. Wear lightweight, light-colored loose-fitting protective clothing and a hat with a brim or visor to shade your face, neck and ears.
