If you want the charges dismissed, just have your lawyer submit IN WRITING the contents of what I have published as far back as 2003. There is not anyone at the Pentagon who wants these documents in court records, and they will dismiss the charges. Just make sure you do not “suicide yourself”. Leave public statements awailable saying that you are NOT suicidal.

Can we donate money to help in his defence?

  5. Mike Gogulski says:

@Justin: The information that’s public now says that Manning has military counsel, and that civilian counsel detailed to him by WikiLeaks was rebuffed in Kuwait. Pending more information, I wouldn’t know where to suggest sending money for legal defense right now.

Have you contacted a group like The National Lawyer’s Guild? They are more activist than ACLU and are likely to assist. Marjorie Cohn, a top legal mind is the president of the group. I wish there was more that I could do to help. I do write for several publications periodically, including Huffington Post. Let me know if I can do something.

I don’t understand how making a political prisoner out of Manning will in any way “discredit” Wikileaks…?

I mean, sure the US wants to bust Manning to get revenge on him, and to scare everyone into compliance (see what happens when you leak material?), and surely the US *wants* to discredit Wikileaks. But how can the US actually discredit Wikileaks by busting Manning? Isn’t Manning’s persecution an implicit admission by the US that the material that Wikileaks released is, in fact, credible?

Mike, I am the mother of William Hunsaker, one of the Leavenworth 10, who is serving 18 years in Ft. Leavenworth for following an illegal ROE. Please contact me, concerning Bradley. There is an attorney I highly recommend. And believe me I’ve worked with many involving my sons case. He has international experience and is totally dedicated to our soldiers that have been charged with these ridiculous crimes.
We must remember everything that is printed is not true, and our military justice system is NOT about the truth, but about covering the butt of somebody higher up the change of command.

I went to school in the UK with Bradley, he was lovely, quiet and caring. I only got the news today and I wish everyone the best of luck. I for one am glad this video came out, maybe it came out in the wrong way but we all make mistakes. Good luck Bradley, you are on my mind x
