Seeking film proposals to benefit WikiLeaks whistleblower Bradley Manning!

Are you an experienced or aspiring filmmaker?  Do you believe in creating work that has a positive impact on the world?  Film is one of the most powerful forms of communication for educating members of the public about army whistle-blower Bradley Manning, and spurring them to action.  Since Bradley’s arrest in May of 2010, volunteer film projects helped to show the international support behind the imprisoned WikiLeaks whistle-blower, to excite public dialogue, and to raise money for his defense.  After more than 1000 days in prison, Bradley’s trial, which could result in a truth-chilling life sentence, is finally expected to start June 3, 2013.  There has never been a more important time to broadcast our message of support for exposing war crimes, international justice, and people’s right to know what the government does in our name.

We are calling for proposals for video projects which will…  A) promote public awareness about Bradley Manning’s case, B) encourage protests of the court martial on June 1st, C) solicit donations for the Bradley Manning Defense Fund, OR D) any combination of the above.

To submit a proposal, please send a detailed description of your idea, including film length, required budget, and expected time until completion to [email protected].  Please also submit examples of your prior work.  If your proposal is chosen, we will use our extensive networks to promote funding of your project via crowdfunding website kickstarter, as well as to show the finished project to tens of thousands of people around the world.

Thank you for supporting Bradley Manning!

  1. WOW!! this is awesome. You guys are very creative. These film projects will spread awareness worldwide like fire. I’m a filmmaker and I have a perfect idea. I hope you guys approve it. Blessings.

  2. Get john pilger on the case. It would be a perfect follow up to ‘the war you don’t see’ which featured the collateral murder video. There’s contact details on johnpilger.com. good look. Still can’t believe this is passing the world by. I live in UK and would love to have a debate about it. The media here kisses Obama’s arse though and hardly anyone knows who manning is; it’s sickening
