July 17, 2012. Bradley Manning Support Network. Report from day one of Bradley Manning’s July motion hearing. A successful vigil was joined by the Occupy the Roads RV, and Bradley’s lawyer argued for the right to include evidence of Bradley’s conscientious intent in his defense. Tomorrow the court will discuss the government’s motion to preclude discussions of actual harm (or lack thereof) from the guilt phase of the trial. The decision will have a major impact on future proceedings, not only Bradley’s but of other whistle-blowers.
