Nadim Kobeissi interviews Kevin Zeese on military’s latest outrage toward Manning

Bradley Manning supporter Nadim Kobeissi interviewed Kevin Zeese today in an emergency installment of his CHOMP.FM internet broadcast. Have a listen here: http://chomp.fm/003/ . Some quick quotes:

(4:00) Nadim: Did they have any ethical grounds for doing this? Did they have any legal grounds for doing this, even?

Kevin: This is a bizarre action by the Marines. I think it really shows their insecurity, they see the growing support for Bradley Manning, they see more and more people realizing that he is being treated unfairly, and that as the facts of the case come out more an more people see that he is a patriot and not a traitor. After all this young man is accused of giving these documents to the media. He’s not accused of giving these documents to Iran, to China, to Russia. He’s not accused of selling them to the highest bidder. He’s accused of giving them for free to the media.

(7:00) Nadim: … What is the support networks future and immediate plans on … can you just give us a brief account on what you plan to do concerning Brad Manning.

Kevin: Well, we have been raising money for his defense, it’s essentially Bradley Manning vs the US government which is an expensive proposition. We have raised more than $100,000, and need to raise more. We’re also supporting groups that are trying to support Bradley Manning, we were out at a demonstration last week at Quantico and I have no doubt that there’s a list of a dozen things we are reviewing as our next steps. The actions today … denying David House and Jane Hampshire the visit and not taking the petitions, is going to escalate  our activity and not decrease it.
