PFC Bradley Manning, 23, has been held in solitary confinement in the military brig, first in Kuwait and now Quantico, VA, since May, 2010, when he was arrested and accused of leaking classified information to the online whistleblower site, WikiLeaks . Gay identied, Manning has been held without trial now for 11 months and subjected to increasingly harsh and punitive treatment, including forced nudity and sleep deprivation. His case has garnered international media attention, leading notable gures such as Daniel Ellsberg and filmmaker Michael Moore to speak out in his support. Amnesty International and the United Nations have taken up his cause.
