Update 6/14/12. Report from the Salina, Kansas rally for Bradley.
Priti, a supporter from Salina, KS, reports on a rally they held in solidarity with Bradley Manning’s June 6-8th motion hearing. They passed out information flyers as well as sunflower seeds (see plantseedsfortruth.org)
“On June 8 and 9, a couple of us wore T-shirts that said, …. the answer my friend is whistle-blowin’ in the wind, and with other Bradley Manning supporters, we stood outside the entrance of the Smoky Hill River Festival in Oakdale Park, Salina, Kansas, handing out flyers and Sunflower seeds to festival goers.”
“One passerby said, “if he revealed classified information, then that’s where he belongs [behind bars]“, but many agreed with why we were there and supported what Bradley did, and we also explained things to those that didn’t know about him. The sweetest reaction was from a little boy who couldn’t understand why they put him in prison ‘for telling the truth’…. holding Manning’s picture in both hands and looking at his face asked, ‘but why?’”
