Update 2/23/12: Arraignment coverage, Occupy 4 Prisoners, Manning’s gender identity
Today was Bradley Manning’s arraignment in Ft. Meade, Maryland. Pfc. Manning’s charges were read to him aloud, and military judge Denise Lind asked him to enter a plea and decide if he wanted a trial by judge or by jury. Manning chose to defer on both decisions. We will publish notes from inside the courtroom soon.

The Guardian profiles Carol Grayson, executive producer of ‘Incident in New Baghdad.’ Inspired by tragedy of her own, Grayson produced the film about the WikiLeaks-released “Collateral Murder,” the first major leak attributed to Bradley Manning.
