Update 3/19/12: David House calls for public outcry, Zack Pesavento on Manning’s lack of due process, and Kevin Gosztola on the hearing

Supporters stand for Bradley outside Ft. Meade

David House calls for public outcry over Manning case on MSNBC. Discussing Manning’s motion hearing, Juan Mendez’s report on Manning’s treatment, and more, friend of Manning and co-founder of the Support Network David House urges supporters to make their voices heard:

“unless there’s a public outcry from the US people that says no you cannot have a man being brought up on espionage charges and refuse to give his defense evidence, then I’m not sure he may see a fair trial.”

Zack Pesavento on the erosion of Manning’s rights. In an interview with RT, the Support Network’s Zack Pesavento says Manning has already been subject to unlawful punishment, and that we already know that no damage has come from WikiLeaks’ releases. Zack details the ways in which Manning has been deprived of his due process rights:

Kevin Gosztola reviews motion hearing on RT, calls the trial “corrupt” so far. FireDogLake’s Kevin Gosztola, who attended the motion hearing in Ft. Meade, recaps the proceedings on RT, and criticizes the prosecution’s “games,” asking, “just how corrupt is this trial so far?”

Also included are details like the military judge not knowing who Adrian Lamo is, the prosecution’s backward email policy, and more:

"My name is Adrian. I’m from Anaheim, California, and I support Bradley because we need to know what are our government is doing without the lies from the media. He’s an American Hero and that’s why I support him"

  1. Manning is a hero, let him go.
Punishment, especially torturous, prior to conviction is not something I thought the U.S. was supposed to do.
    Please stop.
