On March 20, 2011, hundreds of protesters gathered outside of the gates of Quantico Marine Base to call on the United States government to end its persecution of accused whistleblower Bradley Manning. Though protesters were peaceful, dozens were arrested — including famed Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and retired United States Army colonel Ann Wright.
