A lawsuit by the Center for Constitutional Rights and other journalists to improve media access to the Bradley Manning trial was rejected by the appeals court who argued they did not have jurisdiction to make a ruling. The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press is calling for congressional action.

April 10, 2013. By Nathan Fuller. Judge Lind denied one government motion and one defense motion in Bradley Manning’s pretrial hearing today. The government will be allowed to bring a classified witness to testify, but it won’t be allowed to lower its burden of proof regarding “aiding the enemy.” Court is now in recess until a closed May 7-8 session, and then for an open session May 21-24.
