Free Bradley poster round-up
Are you an artist or graphic designer who wants to pitch in? We need your help.
There is a serious lack of good graphics and posters for Bradley Manning. We aren’t designers, so until May 7th we will be running a contest for posters that will be used around around the world to promote Bradley Manning and call for his freedom. The guidelines are simple:
- Use the phrase “Free Bradley Manning,” “Save Bradley,” or something of the sort as the headline (we are calling for an end not just to the torture, but to Bradley’s detainment).
- Includes a graphic image of Bradley Manning’s face. There are photos of Bradley on our flickr page.
- Inspires people towards future action — use your artistic license.
- Include the url “bradleymanning.org.”
- Final draft must be print-ready, 11″ x 17″, in a .pdf or .psd file.
Other information that can be included:
- A QR Code:
- Text about Bradley (you can find talking points and more in our organizing kit), or quotes from the Wired chat logs.
- Our social media urls “twitter.com/savebradley” and “facebook.com/savebradley”
- The phrase “Blowing the whistle on war crimes is not a crime.”
Prizes:
- We will be selecting the top 5 posters to promote internationally and providing prizes, to be announced soon.
- All other posters will be featured on our site.
To send us your image, or if you have any questions, please email: art (at) bradley manning (dot) org

Hi Ania, the size is 11 inches by 17 inches, or US Legal size. Please email us if you think we should have other sizes available for our international friends. Thanks!
US Legal size is 8.5 inches wide and 14 inches long.
The 11″ x 17″ specified above is commonly known as “Tabloid” size.
