Former State Dept spokesman PJ Crowley: “I stand behind what I said.”

PJ-Crowley-Bradley-ManningIn his first interview since his controversial resignation two weeks ago, former State Department spokesman PJ Crowley told the BBC on Monday that he doesn’t regret telling a group of MIT students that the conditions of  Bradley Manning’s detainment is “ridiculous, counterproductive, and stupid.”

We agree with Crowley’s original remarks,  though it should be noted that even so,  there is no indication that Bradley Manning did “violate his oath of office,”  as Crowley told the BBC.  Rather he is being charged with exposing war crimes.
