Free Bradley Manning! The Crime is Imprisonment — 1,000 days of it — Without Trial!
U.S. Citizens for Peace & Justice — Rome are marking this day to protest, yet again, against the unjust and unacceptable treatment of Bradley Manning, whose exposure of war crimes makes him a hero in our minds. Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his heroic and noble actions, Manning undeniably merits this honor far more than some recent recipients have. For 1,000 days now he has been imprisoned without trial, spending 11 months in solitary confinement at Quantico prison, where his treatment has been judged to have amounted to unlawful pretrial punishment. We demand justice, military and U.S. government accountabilty; we demand freedom for Bradley Manning! If you are in Rome come join us.
