Vigil for Bradley Manning at Eisenhower Park

We will gather for a quiet civil vigil in support of Bradley Manning and all whistleblowers abused or ignored by their governments. We’ll stand in recognition we are joined by people all across the globe who share our aspiration for government answerable to the people, willing to respond to, and denounce illegality, injustice, corruption, and unconstitutionality.
We’ll convene at Eisenhower Park in honor of a Newport Summer resident, who like Kennedy, too, had aspirations for peace and who warned of the grave dangers of the unchecked power of the military-industrial complex.
The press will be informed of the vigil.
